I watched a documentary of its (re)discovery in the past century and found it compelling as hell. It's clearly overrun with tourists these days, but still managed to live up to the hype. I did love it at the time, but I s'pose it had partially faded. I was fairly burnt out by the time we got to it (which is lame, as I DID only spend a few weeks down there). We did the sun trail, which was lovely, and a LOT less strenuous - we were the lazy ones takin the bus :) but it was hilarious the number of people who'd take a break from the climb to have a cigarette. Nothin helps you catch your breath like a smoke. Ahh Australians. The pics from Waynu are gorgeous. I'm so glad you did it.
