I think you've done a great job with the apt, and now a lot of that art is missing (since you brought it back to the States this month). It seems like a pretty building, but I don't know how the average Chongq'er lives. Your photos and narrative make me feel like I have been there. Can you get hold of any bubble wrap to stick over your thin windows? It makes a nice storm window. I see you have bottled water. Do you have to lug that home?

Photos help to visualize your home away from home - must be sort of freaky to know you are inhaling so much stuff from the air quality - when you get resettled somewhere it will be fun to create a gourmet state of the art kitchen!Did you find lasagna noodles or did you make them? glad you have a western toilet! See you soon!!! xoxo
