you should have told me you were going to sao paulo. i could have had some of natalie's cousins (attactive, mostly single) meet up with you to show you around. they all live in and around the jardins district as does natalies mom. portuguese in brazil is different than in portugal for sure. add to that the fact that in sao paulo, it is also spoken differently. oh and don't forget, r is an h sound, so the currency is actually pronounced "hay-eye". remember, if you swing through honduras, let me know. we live in tegucigalpa, but i can offer you a place to crash for a bit.

I don't know either, but as it's about someone named "George" and Dad&Fran (that's who Maggie & Friends are) wrote it, it's probably a Seinfeld reference.

The "Food of Brazil" post is coming.

I *did* drink spigot water in Brazil. it was just a bit of culture shock seeing it after so long -- I never saw any waterfountains or their like in Ecuador/Peru.

No clue what M and friends is alluding to!?!?! What??

Loved the Sao Paulo piece. Talk about (me being jaded) - living in DC has NOT prepared me for what other cities look like, or offer. The pics from atop Santander floored me. You didn't tell us about "food" in Braz. Did you not drink the spigot water in SP? Yet you did in BA?
Looking forward to more blogging!

Now I know of an old friend, lets call him, George, and when he was forced into not having sex for quite some time he found that he could learn anything very quickly and so he learned to speak fluent Portuguese! Just an idea.
